San Diego Wave FC today announced programming details for the club’s home opener, presented by Trust & Will, at Snapdragon Stadium on Saturday, March 23 (7:00 p.m. PT; ion).
Limited lower bowl tickets remain for Saturday’s match and can be purchased here. For groups of 10+, call 619-367-0617 to receive discounted tickets and fees through the club.
FAN FEST
Wave FC’s Fan Fest kicks off on the northeast lawn outside of Snapdragon Stadium beginning at 3:30 p.m. PT. Fans can enjoy festivities including:
- Live music from DJ HEABNASTY
- Performance from Fuego Dance Crew from World of Dance
- Kids soccer activations, including inflatable soccer, panna court and more in the Game Zone, presented by 24 Hour Fitness
- Face painting, sign creation and more in the club’s Dr. Seuss Spirit Zone
- Ultra Club beer garden, presented by Michelob ULTRA (21+)
- San Diego Mojo, the newest professional team in San Diego
- EA Sports Gaming Truck with Megan Reyes
In addition, food trucks from across San Diego county will have food and soft drinks available for purchase.
TEAM STORE – DEL SOL & PODEROSA KITS
The Wave’s Team Store will be open beginning at 3:00 p.m. and it’s your chance to get your hands on the all-new kits for 2024. The Del Sol and Poderosa will be available for purchase and includes an NWSL Shield patch (first come, first served) for all in-venue purchases. Plus, once gates open at 5:00 p.m. PT, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your kit near the Pepsi Zone in the southwest corner of the stadium.
NWSL SHIELD PENNANT GIVEAWAY
The first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive a Wave FC pennant that commemorates the club winning the 2023 NWSL Shield.
IN-STADIUM ACTIVATIONS
The classic Wavemaker tradition has an all-new look in 2024! To kick off the new look and feel of the siren warning, Scheana Shay, a reality TV star on Vanderpump Rules, will bring the noise!
Jules Aurora will perform the national anthem, with a flyover by the United States Marine Corp.
Last Friday, the Wave secured the Challenge Cup victory over NJ/NY Gotham with an 88th game winner from Alex Morgan. Fans will have the opportunity to take a photo with the Challenge Cup trophy on the north turf pad of the stadium.
