San Diego Wave FC released its 2025 Pride Collection today, inviting fans to celebrate Pride Month with all new merchandise and a unique touch behind the scenes with goalkeeper DiDi Haračić leading the photoshoot of the new collection.
Haračić stepped off the pitch and behind the lens to photograph her teammates, Savannah McCaskill and Kennedy Wesley, modeling the four new items. The shoot took place in San Diego’s historic Hillcrest neighborhood, known for its vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
“I think my favorite part of the photoshoot was a little bit of all of it,” Haračić said. “But really, it was working with Ken [Wesley] and Sav [McCaskill] – working with my teammates brings a more intimate setting since we see each other every single day. It just made it light and amazing.”
Haračić has a deep passion for photography outside of soccer, and used her skills to bring out the personality in each of the new limited editions pieces.
“You have a different shirt, a crewneck, and a hat, and you have to find the little details in all of those items,” Haračić said. “To be able to capture the simplicity of it but make it more engaging for the viewers – that’s always my end goal.”
The opportunity for Haračić to lead the photoshoot allowed her to create something special for the Club and its fans while expressing herself as both an artist and a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
“For me, with Pride Weekend and Pride Month—and being queer—it hits home,” Haračić shared. “It’s something I align with, and the merch inspired my photography. It brought this sense of pride, honestly, to shoot it. I’m just honored and blessed to be a part of this project, and I can’t wait to be involved with more.”
The 2025 Pride Collection is now available at sandiegowavefc.store and the Club’s annual Pride Night will take place on August 24 at Snapdragon Stadium with tickets available here.
