Festival de Fútbol Femenil de San Diego Wave FC to kick off on Labor Day Weekend
San Diego Wave FC announced today that the club will host the first-ever Festival de Fútbol Femenil de San Diego Wave FC, a girls-only youth soccer tournament.
“We’re thrilled to be able to host the inaugural Festival de Fútbol Femenil de San Diego Wave FC and celebrate San Diego’s love for the game,” said San Diego Wave FC President Jill Ellis. “This allows the Wave to connect even deeper to the local soccer community by delivering a girls-only tournament that provides first-class facilities and standards to all teams in attendance.”
Teams can register to participate in the first ever Festival de Fútbol Femenil de San Diego Wave FC here. Registration deadline is July 28.
The tournament will take place over Labor Day weekend, with games slated from Sept. 2-4. All teams will be guaranteed four matches, along with a free Wave FC t-shirt and ticket to the club’s home match on Saturday, Sept. 3. The girls-only tournament will take place at Surf Cup Sports Park (Del Mar) with ages U-7 to U-19 invited to participate.
