SAN DIEGO (January 30, 2026) – San Diego Wave FC today announced the permanent transfer of Colombian international Sintia Cabezas to Olympique de Marseille Féminin for an undisclosed transfer fee. As part of the transaction, Cabezas has been officially recalled from her loan with Levante Unión Deportiva Femenina, effective immediately. Additionally, in the event that Marseille permanently transfers Cabezas, the Wave will retain a percentage of any future transfer fee.
Cabezas was signed by San Diego in January 2025 and was loaned to Lexington SC of the USL Super League for the 2025 season. Following a successful stint with Lexington, the defender was loaned out to Levante Unión Deportiva Femenina.
