PROFESSIONAL: In exchange for an agreed upon transfer fee, Yanez joins the San Diego Wave from London City Lionesses in the Women’s Championship League where she has been developing abroad for three seasons.
The goalkeeper signed her first professional contract with the Washington Spirit in 2019 and made her debut on Oct. 5, 2019, against Orlando Pride, subbing into the match in the 79th minute. Yanez was then nominated for NWSL Save of the Week after a reflex save in stoppage time of the Spirit’s 3-0 win.
COLLEGE: Yanez competed collegiately for the University of Tennessee where she set the program’s single-season records for save percentage (.856), goals-against average (0.66) and win percentage (.795).
