San Diego Wave FC issues media credentials to working members of recognized media outlets whose primary function is news gathering and sports reporting. Credential approval and distribution are at the discretion of the San Diego Wave FC Communications staff.

Eligible outlets include: newspapers, magazines, sport-specific publications and social media accounts, television, and radio. Media members must be on assignment for a reputable outlet. Freelancers may be required to provide an assignment letter upon request.

Credentials and parking passes are non-transferable and must be worn and visible at all times on matchday. Credentialed media receive event admission and access to designated media work areas, with locker room access granted when applicable. Misuse of credentials may result in revocation and loss of future credential privileges.

Credential requests may be prioritized for official broadcast partners, full-time local reporters, full-time radio and television personnel, and large-scale national outlets.

Independent online media are considered on a case-by-case basis and must demonstrate professional journalism standards, a consistent body of original NWSL/MLS and/or San Diego Wave FC coverage, and verifiable audience metrics. Aggregation-only sites are not eligible.
