Louis Hunt

Hunt was named goalkeeper coach of Wave FC under head coach Casey Stoney last season, 2022.

He joins Wave FC from San Diego Surf Soccer Club in Southern California where he was a Director of Coaching since 2016, head coach of the club’s ECNL teams as well as Director of Goalkeeping. He also coached in the US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA). He was most recently the USWNT U20 Goalkeeper Coach as well as past experiences serving as a coach in the US YNT’s at the U15,16,17 & 18 age groups. In addition to San Diego Surf, Hunt was a head coach & Director at LA Surf, was an assistant coach at the DII level with Cal Poly Pomona, Head coach for LA Premiers WPSL team and GK coach for LA Strikers in the W League.

Hunt holds a USSF A License, United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, USSF National GK license and is an FA Qualified Coach.

Originally from Hertforshire in the UK, Hunt studied at The University of Wolverhampton, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sport Studies before moving to the US in 2006.
