Acquired via trade with Orlando Pride in Nov. ’21 ahead of Wave FC inaugural season

PROFESSIONAL: Taylor’s storied career includes stints in North America, Australia and her home country England. She comes to Wave FC from NWSL’s Orlando Pride, which she registered three goals and an assist through 13 games in the 2021 NWSL season. Taylor made her NWSL debut with the Washington Spirit in 2014 and has amassed 31 goals in her NWSL career while also having previously played for Portland Thorns FC (2015), OL Reign (2018-20) and Orlando (2021). Taylor’s international club career has included stops with Arsenal of England’s Women’s Super League where she won the FA Cup in 2016, Melbourne City FC (Australia) where she won the W-League Championship in 2018, Olympique Lyonnais (France), Gothenburg FC (Sweden), and Lyon (France), where she played on a UEFA Women’s Champions League-winning team in 2020.

INTERNATIONAL: Since making her first international appearance for England’s women’s team in 2014, Taylor has netted 19 goals for her country in 51 games. She was a key member of England’s 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup squads as Taylor scored once over three appearances in 2019. Following England’s 2015 Women’s World Cup semifinal appearance, Taylor led England to the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 semifinals as she scored five goals in four matches to earn the tournament’s Golden Boot award for most goals scored. Taylor won the SheBelieves Cup in 2019. Taylor is a former England teammate of Wave FC Head Coach Casey Stoney.

COLLEGE: Taylor played at Oregon State University from 2004-07. She was inducted into the University’s Hall of Fame following a stellar career. A four-time Pac-10 First Team selection, Taylor earned Freshman All-American honors and currently holds the Beavers’ career record for six different categories including points (113), goals (47), game-winning goals (18), multi-goal games (10), multi-assist games (6) and shots (269) and sits third all-time in assists (19).

PERSONAL: Taylor is from Liverpool, England where she grew up with two older sisters and a twin sister. She also has her UEFA B License and is working towards completing her UEFA A License.
