PROFESSIONAL: Van Egmond began her career in 2009 playing for Canberra United in her native Australia. She joined Fortuna Hjorring in 2011 and played in the UEFA Women’s Champions League before moving to Newcastle Jets for the 2012-2013 season. She played for the Western New York Flash during the Summer and helped them capture the league championship. In 2013, she signed with Seattle Reign FC during the NWSL’s inaugural season. Van Egmond bounced around clubs between 2014-2018 playing for Chicago Red Stars (2014), Newcastle Jets (2014-15) Bundesliga’s FFC Frankfurt Club (2015-16), VfL Wolfsburg (2016-17) and Newcastle Jets (2017). She signed to Orlando Pride for the 2018 season. In 2019, she joined Melbourne City. Van Egmond was loaned to the English FA WSL club West Ham United for the 2020 season. In 2021, Van Egmond re-signed with Orlando Pride before being acquired by the San Diego Wave FC ahead of the 2022 season,

INTERNATIONAL: Van Egmond represented the Young Matildas at the under-20 level. She had her first world cup experience at only 17 years old in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup and she scored in a 3-2 win over Equatorial Guinea. Van Egmond then competed in the 2012 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups. She represented Australia in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Van Edmond has over 100 caps for the Australian National Team.

PERSONAL: Van Egmond was born and raised in Newcastle, Australia with her parents Gary and Annette, her twin brother, Max, and her sister Laura.
